  • Forming Up

    “(Insert flight name) Flight, fall in!”

    Stretching

    All commands need to be called at attention.

    “The first exercise of the day is the toe-touch. This is a 10 count exercise, performed for two repetitions.

    Position of the exercise - move” - Everyone crosses right foot over left and bends down to touch their toes.

    “Ready - begin!” - Everyone continues to touch their toes. At this point, the PFO counts 1 through 10.

    When they reach 10, the flight says “1 cadet” in unison.

    “Switch” - Everyone switches feet.

    “Ready - begin!” - Same as before except flight says “2 cadet” after the PFO reaches 10.

    At this point, the flight leader comes to attention and says “Recover!”

    The flight then comes to attention and responds loudly “Air power!”


    “The next exercise of the day is the static knee bend. This is a 10 count exercise, performed for two

    repetitions. Position of the exercise - move” - Everyone grabs above their right ankle. “Ready -

    begin!” - Everyone continues to hold their leg. At this point, the PFO counts 1 through 10. When

    they reach 10, the flight says “1 cadet” in unison.

    “Switch” - Everyone switches feet.

    “Ready - begin!” - Same as before except flight says “2 cadet” after the PFO reaches 10.

    At this point, the flight leader comes to attention and says “Recover!”

    The flight then comes to attention and responds loudly “Air power!”


    “The next exercise of the day is the sit and reach. This is a 10 count exercise, performed for two

    repetitions. Position of the exercise - move” - Everyone sits down on the ground, tucks the left leg in, and

    reaches for their right foot.

    “Ready - begin!” - Everyone continues to reach. At this point, the PFO counts 1 through 10. When they

    reach 10, the flight says “1 cadet” in unison.

    “Switch” - Everyone switches feet.

    “Ready - begin!” - Same as before except flight says “2 cadet” after the PFO reaches 10.

    At this point, the PFO will stand up on their own, the flight remains seated while the PFO begins the next stretch standing at attention.


    “The next exercise of the day is the toe grab. This is a 10 count exercise, performed for two repetitions.

    Position of the exercise - move” - Everyone places their feet together in a butterfly position and holds their toes.

    “Ready - begin!” - Everyone continues to hold their toes. At this point, the PFO counts 1 through 10.

    When they reach 10, the flight says “1 cadet” in unison.

    “Closer” - Everyone moves their feet closer to their body.

    “Ready - begin!” - Same as before except flight says “2 cadet” after the PFO reaches 10.

    At this point, the flight leader comes to attention and says “Recover!”

    The flight then comes to attention and responds loudly “Air power!”


    The PFO will then give the command “Half right hace!”


    “The next exercise of the day is the calf stretch. This is a 10 count exercise, performed for two repetitions.

    Position of the exercise - move” - Everyone goes into a downward dog position with the right leg

    remaining on the ground and the left leg crossing over top.

    “Ready - begin!” - Everyone continues to hold their calf stretch. At this point, the PFO counts 1 through

    10. When they reach 10, the flight says “1 cadet” in unison.

    “Switch” - Everyone switches feet.

    “Ready - begin!” - Same as before except flight says “2 cadet” after the PFO reaches 10.

    At this point, the flight leader comes to attention and says “Recover!”

    The flight then comes to attention and responds loudly “Air power!”


    The PFO will then give the command “Half left hace!


    “The next exercise of the day is the personal stretch. This is a timed exercise performed for two minutes.

    Position of the exercise - at your discretion. Position of the exercise - move.” - Everyone stretches

    however they please.

    **At this point the PFO needs to appoint a time hack. Time hack says, “Time hack - standing by.”

    “Ready - begin!”

    When the time hack is getting close to running out, the PFO will stand at attention and call “stand by”.

    The flight will go into parade rest.

    At this point, the flight leader comes to attention and says “Recover!”

    The flight then comes to attention and responds loudly “Air power!”

    **At the end of PT, the PFO can replace the exact amount of time and instead say “This is a timed exercise performed until the end of PT."

  • "Sir/Ma'am Cadet _____reports as ordered."

    "Sir/Ma'am, will that be all? "

    "(Greeting of the day), Sir/Ma'am."

  • Upon halting the flight and prior to entering the facility: Flight commander -

    "Guidon bearer, secure the guidon and post the door." 


    if there is no guidon:

    "Guide, post the door." 


    Flight Commander will await until Guidon Bearer announces:

    "Delta Flight Guidon Posted!" 


    The Cadet Flt/CC will then command:

    "COLUMN OF FILES FROM THE RIGHT (LEFT), FORWARD." , "HARCH" 

    The Cadet Flt/CC will be the last person from his/her flight to enter the building. 

  • Prior to moving as a flight:

    "Road guards, don your gear."

    While approaching an intersection, approximately 10 paces away:

    "Road guards, out."

    After the flight passes through the intersection:

    "Road guards, In"

    When arriving at the flight's final destination:

    "Road guards, secure your gear."

  • The Flight Deputy is responsible for taking accountability of all cadets in the flight.

    Once the count is verified, the Deputy will report accountability to the Flight Commander for all PMT events (and any other time accountability is required).


    Reporting Format:

    “Good [morning/afternoon/evening], [rank/name]. [Your flight name] Flight reports an accountability of [# present] out of [# total] cadets present and accounted for. [Cadet(s) name(s)] are [reason(s) for absence].”


    Examples:

    Full Accountability:

    “Good morning, Cadet Smith. Bravo Flight reports an accountability of 15 out of 15 cadets present and accounted for.”


    Partial Accountability (Some Missing)

    “Good morning, Cadet Smith. Bravo Flight reports an accountability of 13 out of 15 cadets present and accounted for. Cadet Joe and Cadet Max are sick.

  • The Flight Commander (Cadet B) commands:

    “Cadet (A), front and center.” 

    Cadet (A) falls out of the flight and quickly proceeds to the front, halting one pace in front of the current Flight Commander. 

    Cadet (A) salutes and reports:

    “Cadet (B), Cadet (A) reports as ordered.” 

    The current Flight Commander returns the salute. 

    The current Flight Commander states: 

    “Cadet (A), take control of the flight.” 


    The current Flight Commander takes one step back with the right foot.

    The new Flight Commander (Cadet A) takes one step forward with the left foot, symbolizing assumption of command. 


    The original Flight Commander states: 


    “Cadet (A), Cadet (B) requests permission to fall back into the flight.” 


    The new Flight Commander responds: 


    “Fall into the flight.” 


    The original Flight Commander returns to formation.

    The new Flight Commander assumes control of the flight and announces


    “At my command.”
